For years, my creative journey has been quested in isolation with other fear + self-doubt as close companions. As I've pursued my dream of being a full-time author, I've believed so many lies about myself + God's purpose for my creativity.

This blog, Created to Create, is for me as much as it is for other creatives who also feel lost + alone in their own creative calling. You see, I believe that our art is not meaningless. This innate need to create is not without intention. God, who made each of us in His image, has gifted us with creative talents, skills, + desires. Your longing to create mirrors His own. If you are pursuing your art, whether as a hobby or a career, God has called you to create. His desire is to not only use your art, but your entire creative journey (+ life) to bring glory to His name.

My goal with this blog is not to preach to you. Instead, I hope that by sharing my creative journey with you that you'll be encouraged + inspired to pursue your own. May my words empower you to journey on to create with purpose, joy, + freedom.

Hey! I'm Charlotte, an aspiring fantasy author from Toronto, Canada with a passion for using my gift of writing to encourage + inspire other creatives to pursue their God-purposed creative dreams.

I have a degree in English and Creative Writing and I enjoy creating posts on Instagram where I share my writing journey, hoping to help other creatives on their own. When I'm not working on my creative goals, you can find me journalling and reading in a cafè with an iced vanilla latte in hand, dressed in baggy jeans and Air Forces, listening to Christian Hip-Hop/R&B. And if I'm not there, I'm either at H&M or serving the youth group in my local church.

In addition to fantasy and historical fiction, I also love reading a good mystery or books about theology, social issues, and anything about the music/entertainment industry.
I'm always listening to music. Always. You can follow me on Spotify to learn more about my music tastes! I'm always making and updating my playlists, especially the ones I listen to while writing.
Streetwear fashion has me in a chokehold that I don't think I'll grow out of.
My favourite book in the Bible is Romans.

Once upon a time, I self-published a young adult fantasy novel. I was fresh out of high school when it debuted. Years later, I know it is not my best work, but I am proud of myself for trying. This book is still available for purchase.
